Queen of the South season 4 has three episodes left to air before the current run wraps up on USA Network. After the weekly cable airings, will the show be also available on Netflix?
As it is, Queen of the South seasons 1 to 3 are accessible on the streaming platform. However, the fourth season might not be ready for viewing until May 2020 in the U.S. and June 2020 in the U.K. and other Netflix territories, according to What's On Netflix.
The long wait might be because Queen of the South season 4 is still on the USA Network website and app for its subscribers. The third season was also just made available last May 2019 on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Queen of the South season 4 episode 11, which is scheduled to air on Aug. 15 on cable, is going to focus on the allies of Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga). Titled "Mientras Dormias" or "While You Were Sleeping," the teaser shows Teresa out of consciousness on her hospital bed as her allies plot and decide for the business.
This should be a test for anyone who's got Teresa's interest at heart. Will they stand by her even if she can't do anything for now as she's incapacitated?
The final two episodes of Queen of the South season 4 will be up in the next two weeks. Episode 12, titled "Diosa De La Guerra" or "Goddess of War," will air on Aug. 22, while Episode 13, the finale episode, titled "Vienen Por Ti" or "They Come For You," will air on Aug. 29, per Futon Critic.
At this point, viewers are already wondering if USA Network will renew Queen of the South season 5. According to TV Series Finale, the show is one of the highest-rating performers on the cable channel for the past three years. Queen of the South season 4, however, has been declining in the ratings and averaging just 800,000 viewers a week. Could this be enough for the network to bring back the series next year?
Queen of the South follows a poor woman's rise in the cartel business from Mexico, to Texas, to finally end up reigning in New Orleans. Based on the telenovela La Reina del Sur, the show is also an adaptation of a novel written by the Spaniard Arturo Perez-Reverte.
The show also stars Hemky Madera, Gerardo Taracena, Joaquim de Almeida, Jon-Michael Ecker, and Alfonso Herrera. In the previous seasons, Queen of the South featured Justina Machado, Mark Conseulos, Peter Gadiot, David Bianchi and Sofia Lama.
