BTS is officially on a break, which anyone would agree they deserve. While fans are already missing Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, they know that the boys needed this time out.

Although Big Hit Entertainment revealed in a statement that the BTS members would be enjoying their lives as ordinary people, some of the boys still update their fans on social media. They have been doing this for six years, so doing so is like a part of their daily routine.

Jimin, for instance, went live to chat with ARMYs just two days after the announcement of their extended break. Then on August 13, V posted a 45-second clip of him doing a lip-sync on Twitter.

It should be noted that BTS is not obliged to post anything on social media like before. They are given absolute free time by their agency to do whatever they want — RM took this to heart.

Unlike Jimin and V, RM didn’t post any videos or Livestream, but he did reply to some comments on Twitter. When one fan asked him what he was doing, RM responded, “I’m Namjooning.” So what does this mean?

RM’s reply is quite literal. “I’m Namjooning” simply means that he’s being himself, doing the things that he’s supposed to be doing if he’s not a K-pop star, and just being a regular citizen. RM is a BTS leader while Namjoon (his real name) is an ordinary boy.

RM previously revealed that he regrets not having a longer time being Kim Namjoon. At the tender age of 16, the star joined Big Hit Entertainment and his life as RM began. “I didn’t have enough time to live as Kim Namjoon,” he said. Now, it will be very difficult for him to continue his journey as Namjoon, but he is trying to do that right now.

Being a part of the K-pop world, it is sometimes hard for these idols to balance their careers and personal lives. The hardest and probably the saddest part of achieving superstardom is that they sometimes lose themselves in the process. This is exactly the reason why Big Hit Entertainment gave Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook this much-needed long break.
