There is no denying that this famous American fantasy drama television series have gained a significant number of followings since it premiered on April 30, 2017. Viewers of the show remain hooked with its exciting plot and lovable characters. But, is American Gods Season 3 still happening?

Fortunately, it is. Earlier this year, English author Neil Gaiman confirmed that American Gods Season 3 would hit the small screens soon. "I'm thrilled American Gods has been renewed for a third season, and even more thrilled that I'm getting to work on it with Chic Eglee," he said in a statement. Neil, who took the executive producer chair in the past two installments and wrote the original book, even thanked Amazon, Starz, and Fremantle for believing in the series, which resulted in the series' renewal.

Neil Gaiman even gushed about working with Chic Eglee in the forthcoming American Gods Season 3. The 58-year-old novelist even described Chic as the "best partner-in-crime." "What I'm hoping is it's less about how long it's going to take season three than getting a season four [renewal] once season three is under way so we can keep the writer's room on and get the scripts written," the brain behind the successful show went on.

No other details about the imminent American Gods Season 3 have been made public as of yet. However, it is predicted that most cast that appeared in the first two seasons would come back for another run, including Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Gillian Anderson, Demore Barnes as Mr. Irbis, Omid Abtahi as Salim, and Mousa Kraish as The Jinn, among others. Other reports suggested that Jonathan Tucker's character, Low Key Lyesmith, would have a bigger role in the up-and-coming new installment.

As for its storyline, series led star Ricky Whittle said that anything could happen in American Gods Season 3. He even made the tight connection between Laura and Mad Sweeney, who never met in the novels, as an example. The 37-year-old actor also hinted that the show might not follow the book's plot after all as it evolves into something else.

Starz has yet to announce the official release date of the famous novel-based series. For now, stay tuned to Business Times for more American Gods Season 3 spoilers, predictions, theories, news, and updates!
