The wait for Rick and Morty Season 4 is almost over, and people are already speculating about what could happen when the show returns on Adult Swim. Could Pickle Rick make another appearance? Will Evil Morty be set for a major comeback? Here are just a few fan-favorites that could make the fourth season much more enjoyable.
One popular character that people are already hoping will be back is Mr. Poopybutthole, who first appeared in 'Total Rickall' and is voiced by Justin Roiland. The diminutive friend of the Smith family might be tiny, but he's a huge celebrity in another dimension. Fans always enjoy it when Mr. Poopybutthole breaks the fourth wall, so he's always a character to look forward to in every season.
Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether Mr. Poopybutthole will return in Rick and Morty Season 4. His most recent appearance had been in the video titled 'The Poop In My Pants' which was released by Adult Swim in November 2017. Nevertheless, there is a huge possibility fan haven't seen the last of him.
Another popular character that people are hoping to see again is Jaguar. The dangerous freedom fighter first showed up in 'Pickle Rick' and was voiced by Dora and the Lost City of Gold star Danny Trejo. Jaguar only appeared in one episode so far, but he certainly left a lasting impression on viewers. After all, he is voiced by Machete himself.
So what are the chances that Jaguar will pop up in Rick and Morty Season 4? The character certainly tends to show up when you least expect it. At the end of 'Pickle Rick,' Jaguar rescued Rick and Morty just as they were about to be killed by Concerto. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if he suddenly rolls in to save the day once again in the upcoming season.
Although the idea of both Mr. Poopybutthole and Jaguar returning is very welcome, there is one character who needs to be back in the fourth season. Birdperson has appeared in all three seasons of Rick and Morty and is a truly important character connected to Rick. Although Birdperson was killed by his new bride Tammy in 'The Wedding Squanchers,' the end credits of 'The Rickshank Rickdemption' revealed that he was turned into a cyborg named Phoenixperson.
It is still unclear if the newly resurrected Birdperson will be working with the Galactic Federation to capture Rick. Nevertheless, it should be an interesting story to explore in the fourth season.
Rick and Morty Season 4 is set to premiere on Adult Swim in November 2019.
