JAG fans, who tuned in to the previous season finale of NCIS: Los Angeles, were undoubtedly delighted when Lt. Colonel Sarah 'Mac' Mackenzie had a surprise reunion with Navy Captain Harmon 'Harm' Rabb,  albeit via video call. Luckily, it looks like the two are about to meet in person in NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11. However, it's not going to be as easy to bring the couple together in the CBS series. It looks like there is going to be major tension when Mac and Harm are finally in the same room together later this year.

In the episode 'False Flag,' Harmon Rabb helped Grisha Callen and Sam Hanna take down several terror suspects. However, the team still needed the help of a Russian diplomat. To ensure cooperation, Hetty Lange enlisted Sarah Mackenzie. This is when Mac reveals what truly happened to her relationship with Harm at the end of JAG Season 10.

In the JAG series finale, Harmon Rabb and Sarah Mackenzie decided to flip a coin to see who will resign from their commission. Although the outcome was never revealed, Mac confirmed in 'False Flag' that Harm lost and had to follow her to San Diego. Unfortunately, he was drawn back to service, leading to their breakup. Mac also admitted that, until the video call, they hadn't seen each other for nine years.

But, will Mac and Harm get to see each other in person? TVLine confirms the reunion with a photo of Catherine Bell and David James Elliott together in the premiere episode of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11. In addition to that, showrunner R. Scott Gemmill stated that there would be some tension between the two on their first meeting in nine years.

"These people that we've grown to like over 10 seasons, we're seeing where they are 16 years later, and ... things don't always work out the way you thought," Gemmill said. However, they will need to work together again in the series.

"Their paths get closer and closer as the story unfolds, until ultimately they're face to face in the same room again," Gemmill added. He then concluded with a question, "Now what happens next?"

It's certainly a reunion that will be well worth the wait but could this mean that the second time's a charm for Mac and Harm? The truth will be revealed when NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 premieres on CBS on September 29.
