All eyes are on BLACKPINK's comeback, and rumors have been rife about Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose's new music and future collaborations. Now, it seems that BLACKPINK's collaboration with The Chainsmokers is finally going to happen after Alex Pall and Drew Taggart shared a snap, chilling with members.
According to a report by All Kpop, The Chainsmokers shared a photo on their Instagram as they hung out with BLACKPINK's Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa. The photo was simply captioned: "Fell in love 3 times last night," referring to the three members.
Unfortunately, after BLACKPINK's performance at the music festival, Jisoo had to fly back to Korea because she had to attend a Dior event back home, so she was unable to join her members, Alex and Drew.
It can be recalled that The Chainsmokers was one of the first artists to express interest in collaborating with BLACKPINK. Alex and Drew, the worldwide hit duo previously proved that they worked well with international artists as they collaborated with Halsey on her hit song Closer, Don't Let Me Down with Daya, Roses ft. Rozes, Kanye ft. SirenXX and Let You Go ft. Great Good Fine, OK.
The Chainsmokers have churned out hit after hit with international artists and proven their mettle with producing great music for sold-out crowds all over the world. This year, Alex and Drew worked with BTS on creating one of the b-side tracks Best Of Me for BTS's mini-album Love Yourself: Her.
"We would like to collaborate with BLACKPINK. We think [BLACKPINK] is such a talented and energetic group," The Chainsmokers said during one of their interviews in May. Drew said that he is eyeing a song similar to Don't Let Me Down which will suit BLACKPINK's style very well, reported Soompi.
Apart from The Chainsmokers, it is expected that BLACKPINK will soon release music in collaboration with Ariana Grande's producer Tommy Brown, who recently came to Korea to work on new music with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose. Tommy Brown is responsible for Ariana's hits like Thank You, Next and 7 Rings and is expected to deliver a global flavor to the YG artists' music.
While BLACKPINK is getting ready to promote in Japan to release their new album with the Japanese version of Kill This Love, several international artists are lined up to collab with the girls.
It is expected that French artist DJ Snake, who produced Turn Up for What and Taki Taki, is finalizing his schedule to work on a collaboration with BLACKPINK.
