Things will be more intense in Handmaid's Tale Season 4. After an unexpected turn of events in the previous season finale, there may be a big change in the new season after June's (Elisabeth Moss) brave move. She may finally get reunited with her daughter, but her life may be put at risk.
The previous season ended on an optimistic note. By the looks of it, the new installment will take in a new bold direction after June succeeded with her risk plan. She successfully managed to move dozens of young women from Gilead to Canada.
However, as she suffered a gunshot wound, June didn't make it across the border. Once again, she chose to stay in Gilead to do a higher cause. But, it is improbable that June will cross the border without her daughter, Hannah (Jordana Blake).
In Handmaid's Tale Season 4, June may make a big sacrifice to save Hannah after she failed to get her daughter out of Gilead. With her determination, she will do everything to keep her child secured after saving a lot of children illegally taken from their birth parents.
Fans have been dying to see Juke and Luke (O.T. Fagbenle) with their daughter after being separated for a long while. Luke is now taking care of her other child, Nichole, in Canada, with the help of their friend Moira (Samira Wiley). So, there will be no way that June will stop to get Hannah.
According to Express, fans are quite sure Handmaid's Tale Season 4 will feature June and Luke getting reunited with their daughter. So, Hannah can be safely raised in Canada, too.
Also, Inverse noted the new season might adapt The Hunger Games theme, where June could be the figurehead of the populist. June wanted to give everyone justice. So, she might stay in Gilead as she tries to further the rebellion inside its borders. However, there is a possibility the government may use Hannah against her to bring her out in the open.
Meanwhile, although June is not in Canada yet, the new season may spend some time in the said country. Fred (Joseph Fiennes), Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), Moira, and Rita (Amanda Brugel), among others, already made their way beyond the borders of Gilead. This will give viewers a look at how other nations see the patriarchal regime and their recovery process after living under repressive violence.
But although there will be a reunion, June may still never stop helping people escape from Gilead, knowing how evil and cruel people there are. She may also risk her life to save others in Handmaid's Tale Season 4. Netflix has yet to announce when the new season will be out, but it is expected for release in 2020.
