If BLINKs are wondering why Jisoo was not at the BLACKPINK X The Chainsmokers hangout sesh after the a-nation Japanese music festival, her stunning visuals at the Dior event in Korea will provide the answer.
Netizens may have been wondering why only three BLACKPINK members were included in the post made by The Chainsmokers Drew Taggart and Alex Pall on their Instagram entry when BLACKPINK had four members. Their entry which simply said: "Fell in love 3 times last night," included Jennie, Rose, and Lisa as they spent time with the award-winning international duo.
According to All Kpop, the latest images from Dior's event in Korea laid to rest some of the fans' concerns. Jisoo attended the opening event of the Dior Pop-Up Store and stunned everyone with her chic style and outstanding visuals. The BLACKPINK member stepped out in a checkered green tube dress with a high skit on the side. She accessorized the look with a thick black belt and a green purse.
Jisoo also did not need a lot of makeup for the event and looked very natural as she wore her hair loose. The Arthdal Chronicles actress' simple style won over fans and attendees alike as she posed for photos and drew finger hearts for her supporters.
Meanwhile, MTV also announced new categories for this year's much-coveted Video Music Awards. It was previously announced that BLACKPINK was the only Kpop girl group nominated for the Best Kpop category where they will battle super boy groups like BTS, Monsta X, TXT, NCT 127 and EXO.
However, fans were displeased over the creation of the category and dismissed it as a racist move that implied that western acts did not believe that Kpop acts are at the same level. This may have prompted the creation of yet another new category called Best Group where BLACKPINK and BTS are both nominated alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, The Backstreet Boys, The Jonas Brothers, CNCO, Pretty Much, and why don't we, reported Metro UK.
Again BLACKPINK is the only female act included in this category which was left for the fans to vote. Based on the mechanics, fans were given a limited time window to cast their vote on @MTV's Instagram stories.
To vote for their choice of Best Group, they only needed to swipe up and down the choices available. The voting, however, closed on August 20 as the account uploaded new choices for a different category.
