Read at your own risk: This article contains spoilers for The Flash Season 6.

When The Flash Season 5 ended its course last May, everyone was surprised with what happened to the whole Flash crew. And with Nora's passing alongside Eobard Thawne's escape from the timeline, it seems that Barry and Iris did not get the happy ending they've been hoping for.

But even so, this only proves that more catastrophes and disasters are about to hit them when Season 6 arrives this fall. And as any fan knows it, the new season will be quite different in comparison to the previous installments.

According to Screen Rant, the upcoming Elseworlds crossover, Crisis On Infinite Earths, will largely impact The Flash in almost all aspects. And while it will happen in the middle of the season, it will totally change the setting and dynamic of the show.

It has been revealed that the crossover will feature all of the existing Earths, which are largely apparent in The Flash's world. Ever since its pilot run, the existence of many Earths is already introduced. But then again, the crossover is not about seeing these infinite Earths, rather, it will feature the collisions and bombardments of these worlds.

Quite obviously, one Earth will remain after the collision. And it is already revealed that the other ones will be destroyed after the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths. This means that some of the Arrowverse's characters will meet their imminent deaths just like what happened in the comic series.

And with these future events at hand, it only shows that Flash's timelines will be either erased or rebooted. But whatever the case, the crossover will definitely leave a huge mark on The Flash Season 6.

As per Cinema Blend, the new season will show Barry's return to the future. While this is set to happen in the first few episodes before the events of the Crisis crossover, there are hints that these decisions made by Barry himself will lead to the pre-events of the Crisis.

Not to mention, the "time-meddling" Barry will surely cause more than one disaster this time considering that it is no longer new and surprising to the fans.

So far, these are the new updates and details about The Flash Season 6 and its links to the upcoming Crisis On Infinite Earths. The new season will premiere this October 8, on The CW.

As for the crossover, it is said that the event will be split into blocks complementary to the events of the six involved DC-CW series. And it will start on December 8, on Supergirl, and end on January 14, on Arrow's and DC's Legends of Tomorrow's slots.
