After the infamous split of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, Ku Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Gyun shocked Hallyu fans anew with another divorce announcement. Reports about the duo's impending breakup broke on Sunday, Aug. 18, when the 34-year-old South Korean star shared a lengthy post on her official Instagram account. Initially, it was unclear as to what the primary reason is behind the split. However, Hyu Sun said Jae Gyun got "bored" in their marriage.
Recent reports revealed that Ahn Jae Gyun had been spreading rumors about his wife, Ku Hye Sun. The actress claimed that her husband had been talking to other women behind her back, especially whenever he is under the influence of the alcohol.
Ahn Jae Gyun was quick to defend himself by releasing an official statement on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The Cinderella With Four Knights actor said Ku Hye Sun trespassed into his pad while he was asleep and touched his phone to get evidence. The 32-year-old star even claimed that he never cheated on his wife. "I did my best as a husband in our married life, and I've never done anything shameful," Jae Gyun said.
On the same day, Ku Hye Sun responded to Ahn Jae Gyun statements by writing another lengthy post on her Instagram. The Blood actress stood behind her claims of Jae Gyun's flirtations with other women when he is drunk. Hye Sun even stated that her husband demeaned her and told her that her n*****s were not sexy.
Ku Hyu Sun, also, addressed Ahn Jae Gyun's claim that he broke into his apartment. The actress said that the flat was bought before their decision to file for a divorce. Hence, Hyu Sun insisted she had every right to go to Jae Gyun's apartment at the time.
"I rushed to post it yesterday in anticipation of an official press release coming and going today," Ku Hyu Sun wrote late Wednesday. "I felt betrayed by the fact that I was verbally abused by other people, but I still haven't signed and agreed on anything. This is a report that has not been discussed with me. I want to keep my family," the wife of Ahn Jae Gyun went on.
Lawyers of the Hyun Sun revealed the actress does not have plans to pursue a divorce because of her mother's failing health. They even shared the Take Care of Us, Captain star wanted to protect her family. The couple tied the knot in 2016.
