There will be no awkward moments when Meghan Markle joins her husband Prince Harry at the wedding of his ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas. She is set to marry fiancé Harry Wentworth-Stanley after announcing their engagement on Sunday, Aug. 18.

According to FOX, it won't be a surprise if Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley invited Prince Harry to their wedding. Bonas has remained in good terms with the Duke of Sussex despite their split in 2014. Bonas attended Prince Harry's wedding to Duchess Meghan in 2018, which means that the duchess could also be likely in the pair's wedding guest list.

"Invites haven't gone out yet, but I'm told Harry and Meghan will be invited," royal expert Adam Helliker said. "Harry and Cressie are on good terms, Meghan has got to know her, and they are expected to attend."

Prince Harry is also good friends with the groom's mother, Clare Milford Haven. The report also cited that the fact that Bonas never said anything to the press about her relationship with Prince Harry during and even after their break-up makes her a very important friend for the duke.

Bonas and Prince Harry met through his cousin Princess Eugenie in 2012, and they immediately hit it off. However, she was overwhelmed by the spotlight on the royals, and it became a factor to their split.

It was this very reason that also caused the split of Prince Harry and his first love Chelsy Davy, according to New Idea. Royal observers said that Chelsea was the perfect girl for Prince Harry, whom he dated on and off for seven years, but she couldn't take the life of scrutiny that goes with being a royal.

But the spotlight from the public doesn't seem to be a problem for Duchess Meghan. Despite the numerous criticisms thrown at the Sussex royals, the former celebrity could still carry on and wear a smile as if they haven't been in the headlines.

"By contrast, we have someone who is an actress, who was used to treading the red carpet, who [is] in the tradition of a Grace Kelly kind of character," royal biographer Andrew Morton said. "Because after all, royalty is about theater and Meghan [knows] all about that."

Meanwhile, Bonas is the daughter of entrepreneurs Jeffery Bonus and Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon. Born to wealth, she worked as a model for brands like Burberry and Mulberry.

Bonas dated Wentworth-Stanley before meeting Prince Harry. However, they split for a few years when Wentworth-Stanley had to pursue further studies abroad.

They renewed their relationship sometime in 2017. A date for the wedding has not yet been set, but speculations are that it will happen in early 2020.
