Angelina Jolie’s weight loss had been a hot topic for quite a long time. Although the actress had always been skinny since the first time people laid eyes on her, she is a lot thinner now than she was before.
While it is safe to say that the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star is naturally skinny, Angelina Jolie’s weight loss led to a lot of speculations that she is suffering from an eating disorder. Now, a new report claims that the 44-year-old actress, filmmaker, and humanitarian is being forced into rehab for her alleged eating issues.
NW’s headline read: “Dragged to rehab. Ange Forced To Eat! Fed through a tube and going blind!” The tabloid also posted Angelina Jolie’s weight on the cover, which they claim is just 41 kg. or 90 lbs. Standing at 5’7, her alleged weight is very dangerous and alarming if proven to be true.
NW purported that Angelina Jolie’s weight loss is a result of her being “traumatized” that her eldest son Maddox is going to college in South Korea. “There’s nothing she can do about this, and it’s left her crippled with anxiety,” the source alleged.
The tabloid claimed that Angelina Jolie’s weight loss terrified her kids, and her close friends allegedly put her “on watch by a 24/7 medical team to ensure she’s getting enough nutrients into her body.” However, Gossip Cop quickly debunked the whole Angelina Jolie’s weight loss and eating disorder stories.
The site shared a report from Entertainment Tonight, which is a reputable news outlet, that the actress herself encouraged her 18-year-old son to “travel nonstop, to learn many languages, and now has plans for him to go to university overseas." This report made it hard to believe that Maddox’ leaving for college led to Angelina Jolie’s weight loss. She even went with him to South Korea, and she looked genuinely happy as they strolled around the campus with the faculty members and some students.
Gossip Cop then pointed out that this wasn’t the first time that NW falsely reported about Angelina Jolie’s weight loss and her alleged eating disorder. The tabloid’s headline on their June issue read: “Ange warned, ‘Eat, or you’ll die!’ Kids fears over her bizarre hunger strike.”
Just like their latest issue, Gossip Cop debunked this one as well. The site noted that despite Angelina Jolie’s weight loss, the actress is not suffering from any form of an eating disorder.
