Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are, undeniably, two of the most popular stars in South Korea. The Descendants of the Sun stars first shocked fans when they announced their plans to tie the knot in July 2017 and stunned their avid followers again with their divorce. Though both parties already revealed that "irreconcilable differences" are among the primary reasons behind their split, some still speculate that there could be a third party involved.

The baseless rumor sparked anew after Song Joong Ki was snapped along with a mysterious woman in a restaurant recently. Chinese media outlet Sina was first to publish the recent photos of Song Hye Kyo's ex-husband. In one of the photographs, the 33-year-old actor posed with British actor Richard Armitage as they enjoy their food.

However, eagle-eyed fans could not help but notice the unknown lady that Song Joong Ki was with in the other photos. Some suggested that the woman could be the new love interest of Song Hye Kyo's former lover. Though Joong Ki is now free to date anyone after his divorce with Hye Kyo was finalized last month, it is very unlikely for the Descendants of the Sun actor to start dating again especially with his hectic schedule.

Others suggested that the mystery woman could be the next leading lady of Song Joong Ki. Rumors have it that the new on-screen ladylove of the Arthdal Chronicles star could either be of the following: Park Shin Hye, Ha Ji Won, Song Ji Hyo, Sandara Park or Kim Tae Hee. It remains to be seen, however, if the former better half of Song Hye Kyo would have a chance to work together with the above-mentioned actresses.

For now, Song Joong Ki is said to be working on his upcoming new film called Victory. The Hallyu superstar was even spotted hanging out with his co-stars last month. Photos of Song Hye Kyo's ex-husband with Kim Tae Ri and Jin Sun Gyu made rounds online. Jo Sung Hee is said to direct the imminent new movie.

Reports have it that Song Joong Ki, who would be playing as pilot Tae Ho, and his co-stars started filming on July 3. Victory is said to be South Korea's first-ever science-fiction movie set in space. The forthcoming film has a budget of $17 million.

Victory is scheduled to premiere in 2020. Stay tuned to Business Times for the latest news and updates about Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo!
