Warning: This article may contain spoilers for Mayans M.C. and Sons of Anarchy.

FX's one of the most exciting crime drama series, Mayans M.C., is just about to premiere its second season. In the middle of its ten-episode pilot installment, the network had renewed the show. And for its second season run, ten new episodes will be added in the course.

During the pilot run, it has been established that the Mayans universe took place four years after the events of Sons of Anarchy. While it has been years already, several SoA stars have played significant roles in the development of the show.

This is why fans of the parent series are also thrilled to monitor the spin-off's movements and developments in terms of plots and storylines. And with the original cast of Sons of Anarchy being on the show from time to time, it allows the spin-off series to expand its audience and viewers.

According to Cheat Sheet, the "crossovers" with Sons of Anarchy is expected to continue for the next season and even "beyond" if in case the show gets renewed for more installments. And with the way how things ended for the Mayans during the pilot run, it is not that difficult to assume that these crossovers will continue to live on.

Characters like Potter, Happy, and Alvarez have pretty much made their existence in the franchise very apparent. And it seems that things will further evolve in terms of their involvement with the stars of Mayans M.C..

As for Jax Teller, he is actually one of Sons of Anarchy's fan-favorite character. While he's already dead in the plot, especially in the timeline of the spin-off series, it is not impossible for the show to include a few cameos of Jax.

It is worth noting that Mayans M.C. is much more open to flashbacks and recall-memories in its dynamic and setting. So, there is a huge possibility that Jax will make an appearance in the next season as well as the other characters who have already died in Sons of Anarchy.

Although these cameos and crossovers are very exciting points to look upon for the new season, TV Guide has learned another interesting detail about the upcoming installment of the show.

According to the reports, Lincoln Potter will assume a much more thrilling character as he continues to bring down the club. While his character is known for its firm and "unshakably" principles, it has been teased by some of the main cast members that he is heading towards the path of "destruction."

Aside from the plot and cast details, Variety also revealed previously that the mind behind Sons of Anarchy and Mayans M.C., Kurt Sutter, will exit after the second season's conclusion. Therefore, if the show gets renewed for a third installment, the showrunners and producers would probably adjust roles to compensate for his confirmed exit.

Mayans M.C. Season 2 premieres on September 3, on FX.
