Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have finally zeroed in on a house in the United States. Specifically, the Sussex royals are reportedly eyeing a property in Malibu, California.
Edmund Fry, who once guided Duchess Meghan in the ways of the royals while she was dating Prince Harry, confirmed to Daily Express that the couple is looking for a Malibu house. The place would be ideal for the Sussex couple since people in Malibu are supposed to be used to seeing celebrities going about like normal people. Thus, the royals would be more relaxed about having less public scrutiny.
"Knowing Meghan and talking to her, she misses home," Fry said. "Meghan is a Los Angeles girl, born and raised here with many links to Hollywood and friends here."
Just before Duchess Meghan gave birth to her son with Prince Harry last May, reports have come to light that they have been looking for a place in California. A source told The Sun that it's the duchess wish to have space where she and Prince Harry can have some freedom and independence from the rigors of royal life.
But Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry aren't likely going to make any move in the next few weeks as the couple is still going on their official tour of South Africa. This will be their first royal tour as a family, with baby Archie Harrison in tow.
Prince Harry couldn't hide his excitement about this tour as he posted on Instagram. He wrote that South Africa had been a second home to him so he cannot wait to introduce this to his wife and son.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their four-month-old boy, will be in at least three countries in the region. They will also be meeting with different local groups and organizations that Prince Harry supports, such as the HALO Trust, the Painted Wolf Conservancy, the Nelson Mandela Foundation, and Sentebale.
Meanwhile, amid the happy news, Duchess Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, has once again resurfaced after months of staying quiet. He once again aimed at his daughter for shutting him out of her life.
Markle said that he sent his daughter a birthday card when she recently turned 38, but he's not sure if Duchess Meghan received it. He was also asking for a picture of baby Archie so that he could frame it, but he has not yet received any reply.
Duchess Meghan and her father became estranged after he pulled a publicity stunt just before her wedding to Prince Harry. Markle said that he had issued an apology to the royal family, but it was never released in public.
