Jungkook just turned 22 (23 in Korea), and ARMYs have found some unique ways to celebrate his birthday. But of course, no one is more excited to celebrate Jingkook’s birthday than his BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and V.
Being a part of the highly successful K-pop band in the world right now, Jungkook can afford everything he wants. His net worth has skyrocketed throughout the years, making it hard for people to buy him something because he can easily purchase them with his own money.
Jungkook knows how truly blessed he is that he decided to give ARMYs a gift on his birthday instead. The golden maknae released an original song on his special day. Since BTS is loved and supported all over the world, fans realized that the entire song is in English.
ARMYs then connected the dots when RM previously revealed that one of his members needed help with English lyrics for a song. Now we know who it is. While Jungkook is known for his vocal stability and range, the untitled song featured his lower register.
Meanwhile, for people who are rich and famous like Jungkook, someone’s presence or a personalized gift is more meaningful to them than receiving some expensive and luxurious items. So when Jimin publicly greeted the singer, songwriter and record producer on his birthday, ARMYs especially all those Jikook shippers’ hearts melted.
Jimin shared a snap of the birthday boy posing in front of a cake, wearing a very casual ensemble, with a “Happy Birthday” banner behind him. The 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer then captioned it, “Kookie-ah Happy birthday to you. It’s good to see you after I didn’t see you for a couple of days.”
BTS is currently on a two-month break, where Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were given all the leeway to do whatever they want for 60 days. Jimin previously revealed that he was in Paris, so many were shocked when he was with Jungkook during his birthday.
Many speculated that Jimin might have pre-recorded his Paris video to make Jungkook think that he couldn’t make it on his birthday. “So [Jungkook] booked a whole trip to Tokyo for [Jimin’s birthday], took him out to Disney & filmed him throughout the whole day. And [Jimin] went to Paris, bought [Jungkook] lots of gifts, flew back to Korea & went straight to his house with a cake to surprise him. Jikook out here putting couples to shame,” one fan shared.
