The much-awaited reunion of Mac and Harm on NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 is happening for real this time. Unlike last season's finale, where they just saw each other in a video conference, these former JAGcharacters are going to see each other in the flesh in the show's first episode back.

Executive Producer R. Scott Gemmill confirmed to TV Line that Mac (played by Catherine Bell) and Harm (played by David James Elliott) would come face to face in the same room in NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 episode 1. Their paths will cross again as the latest case unfolds in the new season.

It was revealed in the NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 finale that Mac and Harm did not end up getting married after JAG ended in 2005. Instead, they have been living separate lives and haven't seen each other in the last nine years until this case.

This reunion, however, is reviving the interest for JAG, which was the mother series of NCIS. Could the spinoff of a spinoff not be far behind and will Mac and Harm be able to settle their differences and get back together?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Elliot gave no indication about the potential for JAG to return with Bell and him. He joked, however, that they are discussing the possibility with CBS. But with Bell busy with her long-running series The Good Witch, who knows what may come to play eventually?  Would CBS consider a shortened season of JAG for a summer run?

Meanwhile, NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 will finally reveal a backstory featuring one of its beloved characters. Henrietta "Hetty" Lange (played by Linda Hunt) will have a special episode in the first half of the season.

It is but a fitting nod to the character and the actress, especially with Hunt off work for most of NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 due to a car accident. Hunt, however, did return towards the last few episodes of season 10 to officially marry Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (played by Daniela Ruah). Incidentally, Olsen wrote the episode about Hetty's past.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 premieres on CBS on Sept. 29 at 9:00 p.m.
