Is Younger season 7 happening? The light drama series from TV Land continues to be a delight that the network decided to bring back the show next season.
In July, Paramount Network and TV Land boss Keith Cox confirmed that Younger season 7 is happening. The series created by Darren Star has officially become the longest-running original program on the cable network, and it's showing no signs of ever slowing down.
"Season after season, Younger has continued to reach new heights and build an incredibly loyal fan base," the press release stated. "We love this talented and amazing cast and can't wait to see what Darren [Star] has in store for Season 7."
Though Paramount has not given a specific date for Younger season 7's return, there is a good chance that the show will be back on air next summer. Meanwhile, Younger season 1 to 5 are currently accessible via the Hulu streaming platform. According to Decider, the recently-concluded season 6 will also likely drop the new episodes sometime this November 2019.
As far as what viewers can expect in Younger season 7, speculations have risen over Hilary Duff's status. The actress has just signed on to reprise her role as Lizzie McGuire for Disney's new streaming service. Is the actress leaving the series? Will she have time to do another show?
The actress said in an interview with People that she has no plans of exiting Younger season 7, but she is excited at the prospect of reprising her Disney character to see how much she has grown up. Per Deadline, Duff has made arrangements with Paramount Network and its parent company to allow her to work on her rebooted Disney series.
Meanwhile, Younger star Sutton Foster told Entertainment Tonight that she doesn't know her character's answer to the marriage proposal in the season 6 finale. Personally, Foster said that she has always been rooting for Charles and Liza together. If it were up to her, she hopes that her character won't reject the man who loves Liza with all his heart. She doesn't want this to be how their story ends.
"I think Charles is the marrying type and I don't know if Liza's ready to get married again," the actress said. "I'm glad we got another season because I really would like to know. But in true Younger fashion, it leaves you with your jaw on the floor."
At the same time, however, Liza has been conflicted because of Josh, who has recently shown in Younger season 6 that he still has feelings for her. Though they both have partly resolved where their relationship should be, Foster said that she knows there will be another relationship problem along the way.
Younger season 7 will begin pre-production in November.
