Fans are now excited for the coming Lucifer Season 5. After D.B. Woodside, who plays Amenadiel, drops some hints on the last and final season, the cast and crew are back in Los Angeles for the show's production.
In a post on Twitter, executive producer Ildy Modrovich shared a photo from their first table read, where they would be together in one table for the last time. Cameras start rolling for the fifth installment as they have all read their lines and scripts for their last few episodes.
There will be big challenges coming to Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and the rest of the team's way, as the former returns to hell in the previous season finale. By the looks of it, the final season will be a quest to find a solution to bring Lucifer back on Earth. It seems to be a great challenge for everyone with demons in tow.
According to CarterMatt, Lucifer Season 5 will have a total of 16 episodes to cap off the show and tie all the loose ends. The series only has so much time to resolve all the storylines that involve not just Lucifer but the rest of the cast.
Of course, fans will like to see Lucifer and Chloe (Lauren German) back together and experience what it's like to be a couple. So, will they finally have a happy ending this time?
In an impromptu Q&A session with the Lucifans that Woodside held on Twitter, he revealed who among the cast might have a happy ending. When a fan asked the 50-year-old star if Lucifer would have a satisfying conclusion, he simply said, "yes."
Although he didn't elaborate what would exactly happen to Lucifer' story, his answer made fans excited and, nevertheless, happy. Woodside also answered the question if the writers have written the show's ending, affirming they already have, but revealed it changes all the time.
Lucifer Season 5's production will continue until the early spring of 2020, so writers still have a lot of time to change and polish its plotlines. He also talked about Episode 1 script, titled "Really Sad Devil Guy," and made a massive revelation about Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) dying in the first five minutes.
However, TV Shows Ace cleared it is only a joke and Maze would never die. Netflix has yet to announce when Lucifer Season 5 will be out, but it is expected for release in 2020.
