Crisis on Infinite Earths is about to begin, and a familiar face will be making his way to the series. Johnathon Schaech will reprise his DC's Legends of Tomorrow's role as Jonah Hex for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover as things are now shaping up.

It remains to be seen what will be the role of this gunslinger from the West in the five-hour special. It is also unknown how his story will fit the crossover, which will feature Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow introduced Jonah Hex as the Civil War veteran-turned-bounty hunter when the titular time-traveling group visited Salvation, Dakota, in 1871. They once again met in Season 2, which was set in 1874 "Outlaw Country," where they saved him from execution. So in return, he assisted the team in the show's Season 3 finale.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jonah Hex's coming on Crisis on Infinite Earths comes as a no surprise because of his role in the comic book, on which the show is based. Heroes and villains from across time will make their way to Earth-1 as what remains in the multiverse is starting to collapse.

By the looks of it, the Arrowverse crossover will be quite an affair. Aside from Jonah Hex, The Monitor and Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett), Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer), Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tullock), Future Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy), Burt Ward and other characters from Black Lightning will be here. Also, Kingdom Come version of Superman that will be played by Brandon Routh will be in the event.

Meanwhile, Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen, made a big noise about Crisis on Infinite Earths. In a tweet, the 38-year-old star seemed to drop the number of episodes of Arrow Season 8.

ComicBook reported the show's last and final season would have 10 episodes. However, in Amell's tweet, he implied it would only have nine episodes. "Five Down. 4 To Go. A Crisis is Coming," he tweeted.

Fans quickly assumed there might be a Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover episode on Arrow that Amell didn't count. There are also assumptions that he might not be included in the final episode of the series, given that Oliver Queen is about to meet his demise.

It is widely believed the Green Arrow would die to save the multiverse as he promised to The Monitor in the Elseworlds Arrowverse crossover. Hence, the end of Oliver might be seen on Crisis on Infinite Earths, which will kick off on Supergirl on Sunday, Dec. 8, on The CW.
