Is BLACKPINK having trouble selling out their Private Stage fan meetings scheduled on September 21 at the Seoul Olympic Park Olympic Hall? Some netizens are worried that this will be the case weeks after YG Entertainment opened the ticket sales for the special event.

Fans who visited the ticketing site found that there are still a lot of seats left for the 2,432 capacity venue weeks after ticket sales started August 23. When fans visited the site a week ago, there were still 312 seats available for the VIP section and 392 seats for the regular section for the 1 p.m. performance. BLACKPINK's second performance scheduled for 6 pm has 22 tickets left for the VIP section and 429 tickets free for the regular section, Koreaboo reported.

This comes as a shock for many fans since the Olympic Hall is considered a relatively small venue and that many Kpop groups have managed to sell out in a matter of hours or even days. BLACKPINK has also been doing well in terms of ticket sales overseas and is considered the most viewed Kpop girl group on youtube.

BLACKPINK's Private Stage is intended to connect with fans in a more personal and intimate environment and marks Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose's comeback performance for their Korean BLINKs before they head overseas to promote their projects again.

According to some fans, the reason for the slow movement of tickets is the lack of connection with the members. Comments online hint that fans feel like YG Entertainment is simply pushing the members on the fans, adding that its bias towards Jennie was obvious.

Also, some fans theorized that even though BLACKPINK has been around for three years, they have roughly only 10 recognizable songs and while these have been popular, their lack of a regular comeback schedule also alienates them from fans. This is a bad place to be when the Kpop industry is teeming with new groups who want to court public favor.

Some loyal BLINKs are defending Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose from criticism and said that BLACKPINK should not be compared to other Kpop girl groups because they have their style and pace of producing new music. There is still a few weeks left before the Private Stage. So, it is still possible that fans will purchase tickets nearer to the performance date.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is expected to release their Japanese comeback soon with the Japanese version of Kill This Love as its title track, All Kpop reported.
