Is Ben Affleck causing friction between Jennifer Garner and her new beau John Miller? It seems that showbiz insiders find it hard to believe that everything is peaceful among the trio and are trying to find evidence that Ben is broken up about his ex-wife moving on.
In a report by the Cheat Sheet, it was mentioned that Ben was "in a deep funk" after finding out she's moved on with a relationship with Cali Group CEO John Miller. However, this was debunked by reports that hinted at the contrary. It was revealed that Ben supports Jen's relationship with John because of their strong relationship that allows them to effectively and peacefully co-parent their three children - Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
A report even indicated that John is a positive influence on the former Batman star and that his relationship inspired Ben to be a better parent to his three kids.
Being in a strong relationship now does not mean that the break up was just as easy. It can be recalled that Jennifer Garner once said in an interview with Vanity Fair that she considered her split from Ben as earth-shaking.
"All of a sudden I'm sitting down at the piano. I went back to church. I sat down and wrote bad poetry all day because I was so sad. I needed a dance class; it reminded me of my fight scenes [in Alias] and how I missed that. I feel the need to be physical, and I feel the need to punch someone. You know what I look forward to? I look forward to getting past the pity stage. I look forward to just having a sense of humor," she said.
Now that she's past the depressing stage of their break up, Jen recently shared the secret of how she maintains a laid back relationship for her kids and make them as normal as possible despite being in the limelight with their celebrity parents.
According to Jen, she was raised in a home where her mom Patricia Garner made every piece of food that they ate while growing up. She said their mom is such a talented homemaker that she made food from scratch, Us Weekly reported.
However, as Jen learned from years of parenting, the more she tries to be like her mom and exert an effort in the kitchen, the less interest her kids have of eating her creations.
"I have chilled out and stopped trying to be my mom. I can't really complain about my kids. They're pretty awesome. They humor me," she said.
