God Friended Me Season 2 is now taking shape after CBS has released its first official images. The network has also dropped its premiere episode title, "Joy," and its official storyline, teasing where the story will go this time.
The teaser photo showed Cara (Violett Beane) is now in Paris, where she went in the previous season finale. The journalist went to the City of Lights to work on her book about Simon Hayes and company's efforts. Although some fans thought this scene would never be seen in the second season, the snap hinted it might play a significant role in the show's story.
The premiere episode may feature some scenes in Paris in God Friended Me Season 2, per CarterMatt. In one snap, Cara is seen with Simon (Adam Goldberg), while the other one showed her working on a bench in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Although Cara's time in Italy seems to be an excellent opportunity, there are questions on how it will affect her relationship with Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall). The two care for each other, but will their time apart change their feelings for one another?
Meanwhile, God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 1's title, "Joy," seems to be a big question for everyone. To recall, Joy (Jessica Lu) is the woman who turned up just before Season 1 finale episode ended. She claimed to know about the God Account and even got Miles' name from it.
Do Joy and Miles have some connection that the latter doesn't know? Does God want this two to work together?
"Miles tries to help the God Account's new friend, Joy, figure out what the account wants from her after she receives her first friend suggestion since getting Miles' name - a soldier on leave in New York," the premiere episode's official synopsis read. "Also, Simon (Adam Goldberg) helps Cara reconnect with an important person from her past while she's in Paris."
Elsewhere, Rakesh (Suraj Sharma) will be settling in his new role as the head of Research & Development at Identity Seal. Also, Trish (Erica Gimpel) will feel concern about Arthur (Joe Morton) when he seems unwilling to buy a new home with his fiancée and sell the house where he raised his family.
God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 1 will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. This season, fans may finally have the answers about the God Account.
