True enough, the A-list stars exchanged their wedding vows in a star-studded event on October 31, 2017, in Shilla Hotel in Seoul City, South Korea. Blossom Entertainment and United Artists Agency even shared prenup photos taken in San Francisco in September 2017. "Thank you so much for your sincere understanding and interest and also for blessing us with loving hearts," Song Hye Kyo wrote in an Instagram post that featured a photo of her and then-husband Song Joong Ki.
In June 27, 2019, Song Joong Ki confirmed that he filed for divorce from Song Hye Kyo. The Arthdal Chronicles actor did not reveal the primary reason behind his decision to split from his then-wife. However, Hye Kyo's agency claimed that "differences in personality" made them decide to break up.
