The much-awaited Outlander Season 5 is finally revealed to arrive soon. With all the speculations and theories in terms of its premiere date, it has been now hinted that the new season will premiere five months from today.

According to Cartermatt, the filming for the fifth and upcoming season is now reaching its end. And it is highly likely to conclude everything in October.

In considering the timeframe, along with the post-production, the publication asserted that Outlander Season 5 might arrive in late January or early February 2020. And whatever the case might be for its premiere, the fans are just looking forward to watching the following events that happened last season.

It has been widely emphasized that the next season will continue where it last left off. But while the continuity of the plot will not be interrupted, Caitriona Balfe recently revealed with ET Online that it would focus on the aftermath of the events that happened previously.

According to the actress, who plays the role of Claire, the fifth season will be the biggest yet of the show's overall course. And while the Fraser will struggle with the outcome their actions in the previous installment, she hinted that they would all try to come into terms with the consequence and move on.

For the fans who have read Diana Gabaldon's book series of the same name, the events that will be depicted on Outlander Season 5 will pretty much mirror the plots of The Fiery Cross. Although there will be a few deviations, especially on Murtagh's arc, it will still stick with the core premise of the book series.

Aside from the new season's plot and setting updates, Caitriona Balfe also shared her experiences on set with their newly added member of the cast, Adso. As it happens, Diana Gabaldon's novel series introduces Adso as the kitten Jamie picked up for Claire. And it looks like that the show will adapt this aspect of the books as well.

Caitriona "gushed" as she shared her stories. And based on her statements, Adso, the cute grey kitten, usually causes distractions on set. Also, she mentioned that Adso likes to play a little hard-get. So, it's a little challenging for her and Sam Heughan, especially when they are taping or filming scenes with Adso.

So far, these are the new details that have been shared about Outlander Season 5. And since the filming is nearly done, then it is likely for much newer updates to come into the light soon.
