Do viewers of Fear the Walking Dead season 5 remember how Morgan Jones (played by Lennie James) lost his family days after the apocalypse? Not to worry because he's going to talk about this himself in the upcoming episode titled "Today and Tomorrow" which will air on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, on AMC.
According to Digital Spy, Morgan will share to his group in Fear the Walking Dead season 5 how he tragically lost his wife and son just right after the outbreak and people turned to walkers. This is the very first reference to his experiences in The Walking Dead, the show's mother series.
Morgan will watch some old footage of himself with his family in Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 14. Then he'll share the story of how he met his wife Jenny and what his son Duane loved as a young boy to Althea (played by Maggie Grace).
This moment will prompt Morgan to drop off some of their supplies to another group in need. He wants to give others a shot for survival as a way to make amends for his own shortcomings with his family.
In a way, Morgan's love for his family has been the reason why he can't seem to connect with Grace (played by Karen David). They were almost romantically involved with each other in the earlier episodes of Fear the Walking Dead season 5 until Morgan rejected her.
With Morgan making this clear, Grace has set her sights on Daniel (played by Ruben Blades) in the next episode. There's a strong potential for these two characters to pair up and make a connection, as per the episode synopsis of Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 14.
Meanwhile, Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 13 delved on some clues about the past life of Logan (played by Matt Frewer). Viewers finally gained some insights about who this character was as it was shown he made efforts to help other people.
One bad experience made Logan change his mind about being a good Samaritan, though. But this was also the cause of his downfall in Fear the Walking Dead season 5 as he was shot and killed by a new group of villains, the Pioneers, led by Ginny (played by Colby Minifie).
Fear the Walking Dead season 5 airs Sunday nights on AMC.
