Supernatural season 15 has, finally, released its poster and some images for its finale season. The long-running series featuring the Winchester brothers, Sam (played by Jared Padalecki) and Dean (played by Jensen Ackles), will have the men hunt for demons and creatures one last time.
The poster of Supernatural season 15, which was shared on the official Supernatural Twitter account, is a nod to the end of last year's season, which featured the brothers in a dangerous predicament.
Viewers will recall that the Supernatural season 14 finale unleashed all creatures both known and unknown to man. The culprit behind this was Chuck, who was earlier revealed to be the creator of all things. Because of what happened, fans speculate that one of the brothers might die in Supernatural season 15, especially after images from episode 1 have made its way online.
Sam appears to be wounded in one photo of Supernatural season 15 episode 1, and his brother tends to his injuries. Is this a foreshadowing of what's to happen for Sam? The brothers also seem to be trapped in a corner with a horde of walkers around them, much like the action on The Walking Dead.
On the other hand, the brothers' angel friend Castiel (played by Misha Collins) might be separated from them early on. Whether this will be for a brief period only or if it will go beyond one episode is for viewers to watch when Supernatural season 15 returns and begins its run on The CW.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Padelicki said that they don't have a clear idea of how Supernatural season 15 will end since they have not yet begun filming the episode. He said, however, that the finale episode could be polarizing.
"I think, to a certain degree, the fandom won't be happy with any ending," the actor said. "Nor will we, to a certain degree. I don't think any of us want to see this show go," he added.
Producer Eugenie Ross-Leming teased, however, that Supernatural season 15 could take things up a notch since this will be the final year. They can take chances and do things that they have not done before, which can be both scary and exciting.
Supernatural season 15 will begin its final run on The CW on Oct. 10, 2019. There will be 20 episodes to this season.
