Like everyone else, Katarina Rostova (played by Lotte Verbeek) wants to know the truth from Red (played by James Spader) in The Blacklist season 7. But, unlike other people, Katarina will use terrifying means to uncover more secrets.

The first-look teaser for The Blacklist season 7 gives viewers a glimpse of how much dead serious Katarina is in learning everything from Red. As shown in the previous season, she abducted Red and brought him to top-secret location, and it looks like she's also drugging Red to get him to talk.

Even Spader said in the video that The Blacklist season 7 would bring "even worse crisis" for his character. The mythology surrounding Katrina has been hyped on the show but, now that she's finally here, it's still unclear what is her agenda.

Katarina, the Russian spy, has been believed to be missing or dead for a long time. Over the years, The Blacklist has told her story through flashback scenes that made her out to be a victim and a villain.

Megan Boone (as Liz) also said that the arrival of Katrina had changed everything for her character. The shift has also become interesting for the rest of the team because they have no idea who Katarina is in The Blacklist season 7.

"Now that Katarina Rostova has entered the picture, I think that's going to dramatically alter Liz's life forever," Boone said."I think the show just keeps getting better and better every season. More action, maybe less secrets."

Meanwhile, Deadline has the official synopsis of The Blacklist season 7 as released by NBC. It details that Red will wake up following his abduction from last season in a hostile territory where he doesn't know who to trust.

Red will find himself challenged to stay one step ahead of his enemies, especially the ones who want the truth from him, such as Katarina. The Blacklist season 7 will also reunite Liz with her mother, as well as her young daughter Agnes but while changing Liz relationship with Red at the same time.

The show also stars Amir Arison, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, and Hisham Tawfiq. The Blacklist season 7 will premiere on NBC on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at 8:00 p.m.
