Something is up with Chandler Riggs' character, PJ, in A Million Little Things season 2. In the first episode back, PJ will, apparently, have his very first appointment with the therapist Maggie Bloom (played by Allison Miller).

While that might seem like a good decision, not everything could be what it seems. According to TV Line, PJ has a different motive for making that appointment with Maggie apart from finding someone to talk to with his problems.

"It's not fully honest," Miller told TV Line of her character's sessions with PJ in A Million Little Things season 2. "She can't really help, but he does reveal a certain amount."

Viewers can recall that, while the gang was at the hospital to root for Maggie, who was going through her cancer surgery in the first season, Rome (played by Romany Malco) met PJ for the first time and saw that he needed someone to talk to. He recommended Maggie to PJ, but it took a while before he set up his first appointment.

That appointment will finally happen in the first episode of A Million Little Things Season 2. The episode synopsis for the second episode, however, suggested that PJ will make a shocking confession to Rome. Is it connected to his reasons for seeing Maggie?

Meanwhile, A Million Little Things season 2 will feature another death of someone that viewers have already met in the first season. Jon Dixon confirmed this new story trajectory in an interview with Deadline

A new character, played by Jason Ritter, will also be linked to this death, which may also have ties with Maggie. Ritter's character is, apparently, someone from the past of Patricia (played by Melora Hardin) who is Maggie's mom and who will be back for A Million Little Things season 2.

"It's a little bit of mystery we are following in the first half of the season," Dixon revealed. "The other issue we are following in the first half is what's going on with PJ."

ABC will premiere A Million Little Things season 2 on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at 9:00 p.m. The show also stars David Giuntoli, Christina Moses, Grace Park, James Roday, Stephanie Szostak, Christina Ochoa, Ron Livingston, and Drea de Matteo.
