For those who are living under a rock, Jin is a member of BTS, one of the most successful K-pop groups in history. Being in the entertainment world for six years, Jin garnered a net worth of $8 million, making him a very wealthy man.
With that said, it is safe to say that money is not an issue to Jin. The ever-growing popularity of the group will only skyrocket all the BTS members’ net worth.
Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook reached the superstardom level because of their hard work and perseverance. Things were not all rainbows and butterflies for the boys, as they shed blood, sweat, and tears (no pun intended) to their way up to the top.
Being a celebrity is easy, but to be successful as a star is a tough journey. K-pop is a difficult world, considering the fact that there are a lot of artists in the industry, and groups are being formed almost daily.
Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had a tough beginning, but they are finally enjoying the fruit of their labor. So when Kwon Hyun Bin, mostly known by his stage name VIINI, talked about Jin being a cheapskate, netizens are not too happy about it.
On September 18, VIINI was a guest star at Mnet’s TMI News, and he shared something that caused people to be upset with him. "I'm very close to Jin. But he always splits the check though he has a very successful career,” he shared.
The 22-year-old model, singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor, then, went on to share one incident. "Last summer we had a meal together with Youngjae, and even then we did a rock-scissor-paper to decide who pays for the meal. I was like, I'm the youngest, why am I in the game?" VIINI said.
Whatever VIINI’s motive was for sharing, he could very well be just trying to be funny or something; netizens didn’t like it at all. "Why do you expect your friend to pay for your meal just because he is successful?" one wrote. "Stop trying to mooching off of others,” another one commented.
One netizen, then, said that the incident was probably just a fun time, but VIINI made it look like Jin was a cheapskate, saying "I bet it was just for fun between friends and now he is making it sound weird." Another one commented that VIINI sounded “super entitled.”
