Supernatural Season 15 will be the show's last and final bow; so, The CW has dropped what fans are about to expect. The premiere episode's official synopsis is now out, and it teased an intense battle between the zombies and Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins).
The beginning of the end is here as Sam, Dean, and Castiel deal with the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse God released on Earth. Of course, the three have to deal with other issues as well with the return of the dead. "Picking up here we left off last season, Dean, and Castiel are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again," the synopsis read.
Although it remains to be seen what the three will do to solve their zombie problem, according to ComicBook, it looks like it will be a "pretty emotional task" that they have to do in the whole season. "God's been pulling the strings behind the scenes, and now Sam and Dean are really trying to break free for the first time in their lives," showrunner Andrew Dabb said about the premiere episode.
By the looks of it, God will pour all the problems on Earth in Supernatural Season 15. Sam and Dean will also have to face an array of deadly problems aside from the zombies. Dabb told TVLine that when they challenge "The Almighty," there is going to be a lot of casualties. These losses will come "all-too-real" to Sam and Dean.
Dabb explained Sam and Dean are going to start losing people, who they would have never lost in the past. Unfortunately, they are about to lose them in a "very real way." From here, the two will be starting to realize that there is absolute finality to everything that they have relied on to get through the day. As they are no longer able to roll out, these turn of events will throw them for a loop.
Aside from the drama, there are also returning faces in Supernatural Season 15. As the show is about to come to a close, Adam (Jake Abel), God's sister, Amara (Emily Swallow), and the deceased hunter Eileen (Shoshannah Stern) will make a comeback to be a part of the conclusion.
When the new season begins, Jack (Alexander Calvert) will still be in The Empty, and Dabb revealed he would not be coming back in the near future. That would be Castiel's deal to save him that may cause a crisis. Supernatural Season 15 will be out on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 8/7c on The CW.
