The long wait is not over. Outlander Season 5 still has a few months left in its preparations. But, the truth is: there is little information as to how the new season will play out. For all the fans and reports know, filming is still ongoing.
Thankfully though, the series stars have their ways to make the wait a little more bearable. With the help of today's social media platforms, fans can pretty much get new updates even without official releases from the network.
Just a few days ago, Fansided via Claire and Jamie reported that Fergus and Marsali would be in Outlander Season 5. No trailer or teaser has been seen yet. However, series stars Cesar Domboy and Lauren Lyle posted a series of Instagram stories revealing their participation in the show's set.
The stories showed their horse-back rides and nothing more. But, what made it intriguing is when these stories are taken down after the publication released the updates.
Fergus and Marsali were last seen when they save Murtagh. They went on a "journey" after heading the Fraser's Ridge. So, while the stories didn't reveal much, fans are now informed that they will be in Outlander Season 5.
Another series star posted as an Instagram story as well. Per Cartermatt, Sophie Skelton shared her character's scene in the woods. Although there were no other details given, fans take it as a good update for the new season.
Catriona Balfe was also seen on set. This gives the idea that Outlander Season 5 will feature an "active past" scene because of her involvement.
Time traveling is one of the things that make the show great and compelling. Fans have witnessed that, in the course, especially on Claire's part. But, as for Jamie, it seems that everyone is still waiting for this moment to arrive.
Express UK explains that Jamie might be able to travel once he learns Claire's secret. Based on reception, this pretty much involves the "stones" that are needed to pass through space and time. And when this happens, probably, in Outlander Season 5, then, it will be logical why some of the teaser photos depicted the couple back to the estate.
Speculations and theories continue to drop among the fans. And it's only suitable given that there are no official teasers or trailers yet. But, many are convinced that these materials will all arrive in the next few months.
Outlander Season 5 is set to premiere on February 16, on STARZ.
