The annual Sunset on the Beach celebrates the nearing release of Hawaii Five-0 Season 10. The event gives the first glimpse to the latest season opener and, by the looks of it, there will be new faces joining the team, new romances to be featured, and someone is set to say goodbye.
According to Star-Advertiser, the new season will begin with a new cast member, Katrina Law. She will be the latest series regular that will play the role of Quinn Liu, a former staff sergeant with Army CID. Despite being demoted due to insubordination, she would be another rogue investigator in the group that would follow in McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) footsteps.
Quinn will be the team's new ally that will help McGarrett when the assassins target the island's mob bosses. Quinn may become the eighth member of the team, but it remains to be seen if she will be a part of the group.
Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 premiere episode, titled "Ua ʻeha ka ʻili I ka maka o ka ihe," is the Hawaii term for "The skin has been hurt by the point of the spear." The episode description noted the show is about to say goodbye to one of its own. Hence, there are assumptions it could be Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia).
In the previous season finale, Omar Hassan's (Ben Youcef) wife, Azra (Yasmin Dar), shot at both McGarrett and Jerry. By the looks of it, Jerry stays faithful to his chief. As Garcia is still listed as a series regular of the show, it remains to be seen if he is the one who has to say goodbye.
But, aside from someone's exit, Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 will also feature new romances between Tani (Meaghan Rath) and Junior (Beulah Koale) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) and Tamiko (Brittany Ishibashi). Fans also want to know if there will be a chance for Danny (Scott Caan) and Rachel (Claire van der Boom) to get back together, and if Quinn will be McGarrett's new love interest.
Executive producer Peter Lenkov told TV Insider the two would only have a professional relationship for now. Hence, it remains to be seen what will happen as the story unfolds, how fans will see it, and how the writers will work on it.
There will also more crossovers happening between Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I. Some supporting characters like Dr. Noelani Cunha (Kimee Balmilero) are set to appear on both shows.
As these two worlds coexist, Lenkov said it would be fun to figure out how to connect its stories. Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 is set to be out on Friday, Sept. 27, 8/7c on CBS.
