Gary Sinise will join the show's last and final season as Dr. Robert Ellman. He is a family therapist who will help treat Clay (Dylan Minnette). According to TV Season Spoilers, Ellman's coming seems to hint something big is about to happen to Clay's character development in the new season.
Tyler Barnhardt will also return to 13 Reasons Why Season 4 to reprise his role as Charlie. In an interview with Elite Daily, the actor revealed fans are about to see more of him come the new season. Fans met Charlie as a sophomore student in the previous season. He was very much a new character who popped up in the series once in a while.
Now that the show is in production, Barnhardt revealed there would be more big things coming to his character's way. Fans are about to know more about Charlie. In fact, when series creator Brian Yorkey told him something about his character, it seemed like he wanted to cry about the revelation.
As the interview continued, Barnhardt seemed to drop a big hint about what is about to come in 13 Reasons Why Season 4 when he said something about him and Ross Butler, who plays Zach. He said they are sharing a house with Timothy Granaderos, who portrays as Monty, and Justin Prentice, who takes Bryce's role while filming the new season. Does this mean Monty and Bryce will return in the new season?
The show has been known for bringing a dead character back, just like Hannah (Katherine Langford) in Season 2. So, whether it will be on a flashback or imagination, there may be a big possibility Monty and Clay will return in the new season. "And I don't even know if that's gonna happen, because we just started shooting, so I've only read the first couple scripts," Barnhardt explained.
The production of 13 Reasons Why Season 4 is now underway. However, it may take the show a little while before everything wraps up as it is about to reveal the show's conclusion. Netflix has yet to announce when the new season will be out, but it is expected for release in 2020.
