Sibling duo singers Akdong Musician (Lee Soo-hyun and Lee Chan-hyuk) spoke frankly to the fans' in regards to their request to leave YG Entertainment.
On September 25th, Akdong Musician held a press conference to commemorate the third regular album 'Sailing' in Seoul.
Lee Chan-hyuk said, "We are deeply aware of many concerns of our fans and now considering options for the future direction" in regards to the situation of YG Entertainment which has been repeatedly swept by bad incidences.
Lee responded to the request from the fans to 'Leave YG', saying, "I understand what our fans are concerned about. We are also debating on this matter. However, the people that we are currently working with are all good people. We've stayed up night after night working together in a happy environment, so at the moment, I want to spend my time focusing on making happy memories and seeing the fruits of those times."
Meanwhile, Akdong Musician released the third regular album 'Sailing' and will start to be on the market from September 25th. This album covered the theme of 'farewell' with the keyword 'leave'.
The title song '' How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love '' was a surprise song released by Lee Chan-hyuk at the 2017 Summer Day Festival right before joining his mandatory military. The song, which includes farewell lyrics that sympathize with lovers who experienced breakup, was decided as the title of the album after a minimal arrangement.
In addition, the album was composed of 10 songs including 'Chantey', 'Fish in the Water', 'Moon', 'FREEDOM', 'Should've loved you more', 'Whale', 'Endless Dream, good night', 'Farewell Greetings' and 'Let's Take Time'. Lee Chan-hyuk wrote and composed all the songs, and Lee Soo-hyun edited 'Farewell Greetings'.
In addition, Lee Chan-hyuk will publish the first novel, 'Fish in the Water', which had a connection with the 'Sailing' on September 26th, and the Akdong Musician will meet their fans in outdoor concert 'Autumn Night's on September 29th at 7:30 pm.
