Lee Hong-gi, a member of K-pop boy bandBand FT Island enlisted as an active duty soldier.
He was admitted on September 30th at the boot camp of the Baekdusan Army Corps. He will serve as a soldier in active service after five weeks of basic military training.
The singer met his fans near the boot camp before enlistment and said, "I'll stay healthy and will be back safely."
On the site, more than 500 fans from various countries saw him off.
Lee made his debut as F.T. Island vocalist in 2007 and became the first member in the group to begin mandatory military service.
