F1 champion Michael Schumacher remains in sickbay, but he is assured of one thing - there is another Schumacher to continue his passion, his legacy, and perhaps his near-immortal stature as a racing great. Young Mick Schumacher has just started on the road his father had raced on and is looking to go far, partly on the numerous things he inherited from his old man.

According to Mick, he consciously follows where his father had gone before and was never shy on the suggestion that he is becoming a clone of a great name.

"I admire him as much as many others, he's my hero, and we are doing the same thing in the end, we have the same passion, the same 'hobby', and I think we just look a lot alike," the Express reported Schumacher's son as saying.

Mick further shared he sees his father as a role model, someone whose accomplishments he has planned to emulate. The older Schumacher found great success at F1 driving for Ferrari, and Mick is not hiding the fact that doing the same is a long-term goal for him.

"My dream is to drive with Ferrari," the younger Schumacher declared.

And realizing that goal seems to get closer for Mick. Recently, he got behind the wheel of a Ferrari in a test in Bahrain and in Hockenheim, using the same Ferrari F2004 that Schumacher had driven before.

These achievements, however, little, seem to fire the 20-year-old's confidence as he boldly stated that reaching "Formula 1 is clearly my goal."

In a report, GrandPrix.com said Mick indeed is not discounting the possibility of making the F1 earlier than planned, and on this, things could play out on his favor as early as next year.

Mick climbing fast on his racing career bears the full support of former Grand Prix winner and Ferrari driver Gerhard Berger, who stated that if given an opening Schumacher must not hesitate in grabbing the opportunity.

"As soon as Mick gets the chance to go to Formula 1, he has to use it ... It doesn't matter how late he started karting or how difficult it has been in Formula 2, you have to seize the opportunity to enter Formula 1," Berger was reported as saying.

The Austrian racing legend added that the younger Schumacher is already part of the Ferrari family, so it only makes sense that in making his entry on F1, it has to be via Ferrari, where is fated to end up one way or another.
