Mick Schumacher has been quietly making his rounds in the racing scene and people are taking notice. In fact, Ferrari Boss Mattia Binotto says that the 20-year-old has somehow reminded him of his father – Michael Schumacher.

It was just recently where Mick Schumacher participated in a two-day test drive for Ferrari in Bahrain. Mick completed 126 laps at the Bahrain International Circuit and made an immediate impact. He also posted the second fastest overall time at the time despite this being his first-ever stint behind the wheel of an F1 car, CNN said.

Capping that is registering the sixth-fastest time after switching to drive for Alfa Romeo last week. With those feats, it comes as no surprise that Binotto is all praises for the younger Schumacher and firmly believes that Mick has a promising successful motor racing career.

"His behavior reminds me of his father, the approach is quite similar, the way he deals with the car. I already saw it the first time when I saw him in Maranello,” said Binotto to Bild.

Aside from Mick Schumacher’s behavior, Binotto also singled out how the 20-year-old was able to listen and maneuver himself in the track.

"He listened well, did not chase the limit, but slowly increased lap after lap, which is the most important thing on such a day," the Ferrari boss said.

With his performance, Mick Schumacher could find himself driving again soon. He is set to test drive a Ferrari before the grand Prix in Germany on July and possibly for the Hockenheimring circuit in the battle for Championship points.

So far, Mick Schumacher has been making waves and this has somehow diverted news on the health state of his father Michael. The 50-year-old Formula One racing champion has yet to make a public appearance since that fatal skiing accident that happened in the French Alps back in Dec. 2013.

Schumacher’s actual health status has been kept under wraps with his family preferring to keep thing private. Some of Schumacher’s close friends have come out with short updates, most on the positive side to ensure fans that Schumi’s is getting the proper attention and care.

It remains to be seen if any credible update on the health of Michael Schumacher will ever come out. Seeing how Mick has been keeping his mind on possibly succeeding his father, it is possible that something is inspiring the 20-year-old – like perhaps making his dad proud.
