A long love affair and a subsequent marriage have marked the relationship of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. The two royals, however, have been tagged as the second most love-struck couple among the British family in a Court Circular analysis.

Prince Charles and Camilla are, apparently, still so in love that they cannot stand to work separately, according to Daily Express. For this year, the two have had 40 engagements together out of their combined 165 engagements so far. This means that Prince Charles and Camilla spent 24 percent of their time together fulfilling their royal duties.

On the other hand, Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have had a combined total of 103 engagement so far this year. The young royals have been together to work alongside each other for 16 percent of the time.

But, the first on the list of the most love-struck royal couple, however, are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex. They have spent 27 percent of their time together to perform their royal duties as a couple. The number is just a notch higher than Prince Charles and Camilla.

It must be noted that Duchess Meghan spent a few months on maternity leave and didn't have any royal engagements for at least four months. She was officially off maternity leave on Sept. 12. If she had been continuously working with Prince Harry, then the two would have been together during their royal obligations a lot more than anticipated.

Duchess Meghan was eager to be back to work with her husband, though, and have recently been on their royal tour of South Africa. The analysis cited that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are the most besotted royal couple of all.

Meanwhile, the analysis also cited Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex and Queen Elizabeth's youngest son, and his wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, as the most independent couple.  Between them, they have had about 150 royal engagements, but they were only together on four of these or at least three percent of doing their royal duties as a couple.

Members of the royal family carry out different work for Queen Elizabeth in areas of public and charitable service. According to the royal website, the working royals carry out at least 2,000 engagements both in the U.K. and abroad ever year.
