The month of October has started, which also kicks off the beginning of Arrowverse. Fans have been waiting for the much-hyped crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, and, as Supergirl Season 5 has begun, there is more to watch out for. After the premiere episode, The CW has dropped Episode 2's official synopsis and set photos, along with a new trailer, teasing what will happen next.

"Technology becomes the new threat- Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Alex (Chyler Leigh), and Brainiac (Jesse Rath) thwart an alien attack while William (Staz Nair) investigates Kara (Benoist)," Supergirl Season 5 Episode 2 official synopsis read. "J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood) and Kelly (Azie Tesfai) use Obsidian tech to solve a problem."

According to CarterMatt, there are hopes to see specificity in the course of this episode, as the promotional materials for the new season, per se, seems to lack of being specific to the problem. Indeed, the show drops some basic ideas of what to come, but there are only a few details on how it will pave the way to work on the story.

Also, it remains to be seen if there will be the main villain that will represent the whole of the big bad. By the looks of it, Acrata (Julie Gonzalo) could be the key antagonist, but that is still remained to a mystery.

Meanwhile, The CW dropped Supergirl Season 5 Episode 2 set photos, via Bleeding Cool. Here, Andrea Rojas (Gonzalo) is seen along with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) in a lab. In other snaps, Hank Henshaw/JÕonn JÕonzz also makes an appearance.

The images also feature Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai), James Olsen/Guardian (Mehcad Brooks), and Brainiac-5. Of course, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is there, along with Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh).
