J-Hope is the first BTS member to have his solo release debut in the Billboard Top 100. His collaboration with Becky G, Chicken Noodle Soup, is now a certified global hit by entering the all-genre chart at No. 81.

According to a report by Billboard, J-Hope is the first BTS member to land an individual entry on the Hot 100 among members who have released their solo projects. Chicken Noodle Soup debuted in the chart with 9.7 million streams in the US and an additional 11,000 downloads sold in the first week of October.

With the accomplishment, J-Hope also becomes the third Kpop solo act to land on the Hot 100. In total, there are only six Kpop acts (individual and group) who broke into the chart, including BTS.

J-Hope's collaboration with American artist Becky G blends three languages into trendy dance and rap mix, which also conquered Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, taking on the No. 1 spot upon its debut.

This is J-Hope's second No. 1 entry into the World Digital Song Sales chart, following his 2018 hit Daydream. Chicken Noodle Soup also earned Becky G her first entry into the Billboard chart.

It can be recalled that upon its release, J-Hope and Becky G's Chicken Noodle Soup also ruled the iTunes charts of 69 countries, All Kpop reported.

Chicken Noodle Soup topped the charts of the United States, Canada, France, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, among others, and even sparked a dance craze on TikTok shortly after.

While the rest of BTS members were relaxing on a much-deserved vacation granted by Big Hit Entertainment, J-Hope used the time to work on the single with Becky G.

As a lover of hip hop, the BTS rapper also broke down the choreography and posted it on BTS' TikTok account. After BTS V and golden maknae Jungkook joined in on the fun and did their versions, the #CNSChallenge quickly became a viral feature on the app that had users posting their versions of the dance.

Following the success of the song, J-Hope posted a heartfelt thank you on BTS' social media accounts and expressed gratitude for fans' support for both the song and the dance craze. "Thank you for having fun listening," he said in a broadcast

Chicken Noodle Soup was an original hit by Webstar and Young B, featuring The Voice of Harlem. J-Hope and Becky G recreated it, wherein J-Hope participated in revamping the track, styling for promotions, developing cover art, as well as the production of the CNS MV.
