They say a grandparent's bond to their grandchildren is even deeper than a parent’s bond to their kids. Grandparents and grandchildren always have this special something that they just can’t deny.
However, a report claimed that Prince Charles is not that close to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son Prince George. Although the Prince of Wales adores his grandchildren, his bond with the six-year-old was, allegedly, affected by the Duchess of Cambridge’s mother, Carole Middleton.
Prince Charles is undoubtedly a very busy man. Being the future kind of England, he has a lot of royal obligations to complete every single day. However, these duties don’t stop him from wanting to spend time with his grandchildren.
But, a 2015 Daily Star article, which recently resurfaced, claimed that Prince Charles would have wanted to be a part of Prince George’s life more. However, Carole Middleton was "controlling" the Cambridge children, affecting his relationship with them. "The heir to the throne has apparently loaded to his friends about how little he sees his grandson. Charles believes Kate's mom, Carole Middleton has taken over. And he is said to have blamed 'the March of the Middletons' for his exclusion,” the report read.
The last time Prince Charles and Prince George were photographed together was back in June at the Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Color. The young prince was spotted with the Middletons in August.
“[Prince] Charles has complained to his friends: ‘They never let me see my grandson.’ Carole has rather taken over,” the source added. “She dictates when George naps, when and what he wants. All in all, behaving like she’s Queen Carole.”
Meanwhile, if Prince Charles wants to spend some quality time with Prince George, he should bring him to a Football game as he appeared to be a huge fan of the sport. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son couldn’t contain his excitement during the Aston Villa vs. Norwich match on Saturday as he jumped up and down when the team that he was rooting for scored.
Even though Prince William tried to calm him down, Prince George was still leaping out of his seat and squealing in excitement. Of course, netizens reacted to the cute moment. “How adorable is Prince George cheering on his (and daddy's) team? He was so excited William had to tell him to calm down,” one wrote. “Prince William telling George to calm down might be the best thing I've ever witnessed,” another one commented.
