Actress Hwang Eun Jung confessed that she lived her life in seclusion right after divorce from Yoon Ki Won and even considered extreme choices.
Hwang Eun Jung appeared in the 'Dol Sing (Divorced Singles) Special' of MBN 'Dongchimi', which was broadcasted on October 12th. Hwang was introduced as 'Dol Sing Second Year'. She said, "(Everyone) did not know that I was divorced, so I came to announce clearly." She explained the situation after the divorce and how she feels about it.
Hwang said, "When a divorce news broke out a year ago, I was contacted by male friends whom I knew 10 years ago, saying, 'Let's have a drink'." "I felt hurt and disgraced as they were looking down on me as a divorced woman," added Hwang.
"We also had a couple accompaniment program during the six years of marriage. It was real. We were good when we were good and we fought when we fought."
Hwang also said, "I worked more than my husband. I had to give more to divide the property." "I thought that I must bring all the wedding gifts my parents gave. But, I've left my wedding photos and albums to make him feel regret. "
"I've been living in seclusion for six months because of thoughts that I would have to live with the label as "a divorced woman." "I felt like everyone else living well except me. I drank alone every day. I lost 10 kg in weight. I lost confidence in myself completely," recalled Hwang. "Blending two bottles of beer and one bottle of soju gave a perfect taste that time," added she.
She also recollected the moment of making a hard choice, "I was hanging a string in my double-storey house. I do not know why I did.I must have felt extremely difficult. I realized I was in big trouble."
Hwang Eun Jung met Yoon Ki Won through drama 'Buddy Buddy' in 2011 and started dating him. Hwang and Yoon got married in May 2012, but divorced in December 2017, five years later.
Hwang Eun-jung also said that she is currently working as a member of Three Trot Girls.
