Hollywood A-list actress Jennifer Aniston is among the few celebrities who has been successful in keeping their fingers out of social media. However, that might change soon.

Aniston opened up about the pressure that she has been receiving about not having a social media account. During her and Reese Witherspoon's interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jen admitted that she is getting pressured to open an Instagram account. The Friends actress admitted she understands that it is important for someone like her who lives under the spotlight to use online platforms such as the IG.

Her The Morning Show co-star, Reese Witherspoon, has been on social media for a long time. She regularly shares updates to her fans about her movie or TV projects, as well as her private life.

Aniston said Witherspoon tried to convince her by making some compelling argument as to why it can be a good thing to people with a statute like Jen to have an online presence. Aniston admitted she was intrigued by Witherspoon's argument. Essentially, it is for Jen to engage and convey her message to her fans.

"You can actually have a little bit more control over the narrative that's out there. [You can] right some wrongs and some silly things that, God knows, are said often," she said.

When asked if this help change her mind up about joining Instagram, the actress teasingly said, "Maybe." Aniston may need a little more convincing, but her answer is enough for her fans than a definite "no."

Witherspoon may not be the only one who has been persuading Aniston to try social media. Her Friends co-stars have been making special shoutouts to Jen whenever they can't tag her on their social media posts.

During Friends 25th anniversary, Courteney Cox shared a photo of the cast and tagged her co-stars except for Aniston. Instead, she added the hashtag "#seriouslyjen?" to point out the actress' absence on social media.

Meanwhile, Aniston and Witherspoon star in the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy-drama series The Morning Show alongside Steve Carell. Aniston plays the role of Alex Levy, who runs the top-rated news program, The Morning Show.

When her TV partner of 15 years, Mitch Kessler (Carell), gets fired because of sexual misconduct, Alex fights to retain her job as the top newsreader, but someone is eyeing for her post. Alex will spark a rivalry with rookie journalist Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon).

The Morning Show marks Aniston's TV series comeback since Friends. The NBC sitcom concluded airing on May 6, 2004, after ten seasons.
