K-Pop Stars IU and Goo Hara expressed their condolences to Sulli's death by suspending their comeback contents releases and publishing video letters.
On October 15th, IU's agency Kakao M announced through the company's official SNS, "It was decided that the release of IU's 5th Mini Album 'Love Poem' contents will be suspended. There will be further announcements in regards to the schedule of the release. We wish that many fans who have been waiting for the release may understand."
This announcement came in the wake of Sulli's sudden report. The agency said, "We want to express our deepest condolences and pray for the repose of the departed."
On October 11th, IU informed on her comeback by her fifth mini-album 'Love Poem'.
She has been speeding up her return as a singer by releasing a Comeback time table. However, because of her friend's tragic death, she decided to stop the pre-release of her Comeback album contents.
The two have been in friendships for a long time, working together as music broadcast MCs. In August, Sulli made her appearance as a special guest in tvN's Drama, "Hotel del Luna" where IU is the main lead actress, boasting their close friendship.
Sulli's another best friend, Goo Hara, also expressed her broken heart over the actress' death.
She posted several photos of memories on her Instagram with the words, "May she can do what she wants in the next world." On October 15th, she wrote, "My tears don't stop. I still can't believe it. Beautiful Sulli in many photos, Sulli......"
Goo Hara also sent a video letter to Sulli on Instagram live on October 15th. She said, "I'm sorry I can't go to meet you as I'm in Japan. I'm so sorry that I am saying goodbye this way." "Be as you are, Do things you wanted to do. I will try to live life here living up to your life."
She added, "I'm fine, everyone. I was really close to Sulli, so I wanted to say goodbye to Sulli by playing this video letter for her."
Sulli and Goo Hara shared their friendship as they joined the music industry at the same period of time. Photos Goo posted reveal a close relationship between the two. Many felt grieved over these photos.
Sulli was found dead at 3:21 pm in her home in Seongnam.
Sulli's SM Entertainment stated, "We are very sorry for this sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left us. It is hard to believe this current situation. We are in grief."
Upon request of family members of Sulli, her funeral will be done in private. A separate condolence place for fans was prepared at the funeral hall of Sinchon Severance Hospital. On October 15th, a condolence visit was allowed from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and from October 16, from noon to 9:00 pm.
