It's been a year since the Johnsons arrived in Butlers' neighborhood. While things were a bit complicated for the family, it seems like things are now changing between the two families.
The new season just arrived last month. And it all started with Dave's invitation to his "yard-e-cue." Gemma and Tina also had a change of dynamic as they began to become more honest about giving and receiving gifts.
As the new season of The Neighborhood progresses, things have become more intertwined between Dave and Calvin. And as seen in the latest episode titled, Welcome To Co-Habitation, the Butlers spent the night at Dave and Gemma's home.
In the upcoming installment, which will be aired a week from now, it has been hinted that the two couples will go on a double date at a new restaurant; hence, the title, Welcome To Soul-Food. No further details have been shared about the upcoming episode. Even so, it looks like things will become a lot "friendlier" between Dave and Calvin.
Although Dave has been the friendly neighbor to the Butlers, Calvin has been not entirely up for establishing ties with him. However, this might already change as previewed in the synopsis of the upcoming episodes.
The Neighborhood Season 2 Episode 6 will seemingly continue this kind of dynamic. As per reports, Dave and Tina will find "common" grounds as they bond over a concert together. No one knows yet as to how Calvin will take it. But, it has been hinted that this will bring the two families closer.
Additionally, there will be a "visitor" in the Johnson household. However, it has been revealed that this visitor is not entirely welcome. As a result, Gemma will seek assistance and help from the Butlers, probably Calvin, to resolve the situation.
With these future events at hand, it only goes to show that the ties between the two families will be much strengthened and established. Although at times, Calvin might not be"on-board" with the idea, upcoming events in the rest of The Neighborhood Season 2 will seemingly continue to twist and tangle Calvin's and Dave's paths.
In an interview with TV Insider, actor Max Greenfield revealed that there would be a lot more in store for Dave and Calvin's relationship as neighbors and friends. And while the new season is taking the pace at a slow rate, things will be very "fun" and interesting between the two households.
The Neighborhood Season 2 Episode 6 titled, Welcome To The Wagon, is set to air on October 28, on CBS.
