Jodie Comer is set to work with Ben Affleck for the new movie The Last Duel. Although the film is just on its early production stage, there are rumors the 47-year-old actor is already sending the Killing Eve star flirty texts.
Comer joined the cast of the Ben Affleck and Matt Damon movie. Because of this, a tabloid made a story linking the 26-year-old star to Jennifer Garner's ex.
A professed insider said Affleck and Comer are starting to have a "flirty friendship" as they are now preparing for the filming of The Last Duel. The source claimed the Gone Girl star wanted to have more than a working relationship with the young actress.
Affleck knew Comer would be the perfect star for the role they gave her. However, when they met, he was allegedly captivated with the actress. "He's been texting her for weeks now," the tipster revealed. Comer, on the other hand, reportedly hopes their friendship will turn into a "date or two" so that they will see how things will work out between them.
Gossip Cop debunked this story, questioning the alleged source's ability to know both Affleck and Comer's points of view. Also, the two had not met each other yet before the signing took place.
Affleck's own rep even denied the claim and stressed the article is "not true" at all. The Justice League star is in no way pursuing Comer or even texting her.
Comer and Affleck will be working on the historical epic movie, The Last Duel, alongside Damon. The two actors, who have been known as best buddies in real life, wrote the latest film's script together. It would be the first time that they co-wrote a new movie again after the successful, Oscar-winning film, Good Will Hunting.
Both Affleck and Damon are set to star in The Last Duel. The film is based on a true story of the "last legally sanctioned" duel in France and set in the 14th century, per Stylist. It follows the story of man named Jean de Carrouges, who returns from war only to find out his wife has been abused bu his friend, Jacques Le Gris.
Marguerite tries to tell everyone about the sexual violence she experienced, but nobody believes her. So, her husband goes directly to the King of France to ask for permission to fight Le Gris to death. Comer will play as Marguerite, while Affleck and Damon will play the male lead roles. The Last Duel's release is yet to be announced.
