Welsh winger Gareth Bale will be forced to skip important games by Real Madrid in the coming weeks, including the hotly anticipated El Clasico showdown against Barcelona, reports said. Bale was injured in a Euro 2020 qualifier and the latest development again fueled rumors that he will be departing soon from the Spanish giant.

In a report, AS English said the Welsh international is confirmed to miss Real's scheduled La Liga match on Saturday. And most likely, he will again sit out the club's visit at Camp Nou on October 26 that is part of the El Clasico series featuring the face-off between Real and Barca.

Bale getting sidelined was attributed to the injury he suffered when he played for the Wales-Croatia Euro 2020 qualifier.

"Still in pain on Wednesday, the winger was unable to train with the group and will now work on his recovery with the specialists at the club," added the report.

According to Sport English, Bale still complains of pain in his calf and is already ruled out to appear on Real's next few games, including the club's travel to Turkey for a Champions League match. When exactly the Welsh will return to play remains unknown as his absence will likely stretch for a few weeks.

Bale suffering an injury fired up fresh speculations that he could be heading to the exit door. Real manager Zinedine Zidane has already indicated in the past that the club is looking for ways to transfer the Welsh to interested clubs.

Last summer, there were talks for Bale joining a Chinese club, but Real called off the deal, which would have seen the winger playing in China for three years.

Zidane, however, returned Bale to Real's first-team but talks of the club boss not giving Bale the treatment he deserves circulated widely. Observers added that the Welsh failed to win the support of Spanish fans despite his contribution to Real's titles in the past.

Unsurprisingly though, Bale has an ally in the person of fellow Real player Luka Modric. The Croatian midfielder recently declared that he wants to play alongside the Welsh in the years to come, and noted his teammate is an important component of Real Madrid.

Modric is convinced Bale has reestablished a place at Santiago Bernabeu as attested by his return to the first-team in the ongoing season, according to Bleacher Report.

"He is an amazing player and very important for the team. He is showing that this season. Hopefully, he will stay this season and the next seasons as well," Modric was reported as saying.

Modric and Bale figured at the Croatia-Wales Euro 2020 qualifier last Sunday, appearing on the opposing sides.
