Callen and Sam will return to USS Allegiance to deal with the deadly Ebola virus in the upcoming NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 Episode 4. However, the two will be missing their good friend, USS Allegiance EXO Capt. Harmon Rabb.
Agents Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) will be sent out to look into the death of a petty officer, who recently departed the USS Allegiance. The two will deduce that it is a murder case that has a link to an Ebola exposure at the ship.
This will put the USS Allegiance under NCIS Los Angeles investigation once again. Agents G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) will board the carrier while it is under quarantine for possible exposure to the deadly virus.
Unfortunately, Harm (David James Elliott) is no longer onboard the Allegiance, based on the episode trailer and the guest star list. Where could he be? Harm could have join Lt. Colonel Sarah "Mac" Mackenzie (Catherine Bell) in D.C. or he probably now leading an NCIS Team in San Diego.
Mac and Harm left new questions on what happened to them after they talked at the end of Season 11 Episode 1. In the episode, Harm told Mac that Hetty suggested that he try to get a leadership post at NCIS, either in San Diego or at the Contingency Response Team. The two also talked about what happened between them nine years ago and, then, Mac said they are way past the time of letting fate decide for them.
Though Harm is no longer onboard the Allegiance, Callen and Sam will get help from Captain Steven Douglas (Gil Birmingham) in tracking down the patient zero or whoever is responsible for bringing the virus on his ship.
It also looks like the ship is specifically targeted by whoever that person is. In the teaser for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 Episode 4, an infected woman is seen telling the team that American soldiers will die and will be tossed like animals in mass graves. The mission to infect the ship with a virus seems to be personal to the woman.
This may not be the team's first encounter with a fatal disease but there could be a twist in the story. The ship could be just a launching vessel for the virus. Allegiance could be on its way to a mission anywhere in the world and the ship's destination is the real target of whoever is behind the biological attack.
NCIS: Los Angeles Season 11 airs every Sunday. Episode 4 will be out on October 20 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
