El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie was just recently released, but fans are now wondering if the film could change some events in Better Call Saul season 5. Now, it was clear that the movie chose not to spoil too much when it comes to the future of the Breaking Bad spin-off.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Vince Gilligan revealed he talked with his Better Call Saul partner and co-creator Peter Gould. He said they had no intention to change the series' future. Gilligan told the outlet that Gould and the writers haven't yet figured out the ending of the series, especially since they haven't entirely figured out the ending of Breaking Bad as well.

The executive producer also said they tried to figure out what would be the possible pitfall as they wouldn't want to screw up Better Call Saul season 5. Gilligan admitted that it was his worst fear, and he didn't want to do anything to damage the series.

Better Call Saul season 5, recently, wrapped up its production, and the team will reportedly plot the endgame of the series -- probably will tackle the storyline of Gene after the events happened in Breaking Bad. But how exactly the series end? El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie takes one possibility in the table: Jesse Pinkman showing up to rescue Gene.

Meanwhile, in another related report, Aaron Paul opened up about whether the movie is the ending for his character, Jesse Pinkman. He told Digital Spy and other media outlets that there's no reason for his character to be in Better Call Saul. So, it's unlikely he will show up in the series. However, he also said that if the creators will call and ask him, then he's willing to appear in the show.

The good news is that there would be more season of the show, as per CarterMatt. The most possible scenario is that Better Call Saul season 5 wouldn't be the last as the series will likely continue its story in season 6. If ever, the sixth installment could finish the present story for Jimmy/Saul and, then, it would show what's coming up with Gene in the future.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie was released on Friday, October 11. Better Call Saul season 5, on the other hand, will reportedly premiere in 2020 on AMC.
